The metaverse began as an idea for a virtual world, inside a computer for users to connect with each other. Inside that world were possibilities, without boundaries or limitations of the laws of physics. This was Metaverse 1.0.
With the addition of blockchain technology for digital currency and NFTs for asset ownership, we now have metaverse 2.0. New projects are starting daily. They each have their own idea of what the metaverse should look like and what the users can do, once they enter.
Eventually “The Metaverse” will become a collection of connected projects that were previously stand alone ideas for a metaverse. They will become connected and their access decentralized. Just like websites and apps on the internet are all interconnected and accessed by different devices using different operating systems, so too will the metaverse, NFTs, and blockchain.
We are working on the metaverse, version 3.0. by connecting 1.0 and 2.0 together. Computers first had small networks with their own protocols, each with different hardware and software. New devices and applications had their own networks. Now they are all connected. The future was always going to be connectivity and inclusion.
